    Simplifying and Securing Boating Life

Boating offers many joys, but also some challenges. Getting ashore at a dock or pier can be difficult for both able-bodied individuals and those with reduced mobility. The same applies to boarding. Docks and piers vary greatly in design and height, as do the gangways of countless leisure boats. Additionally, tides can create further challenges. People’s poor vision, worsening motor skills, and joint degeneration are all valid reasons for reduced use and enjoyment of boats. We are all aging, and age-friendly social structures are a priority whereby everyone should have the best possible quality of life with minimal assistance.

    A Simple, Patent-Pending Solution

Steeg is a dock solution designed to eliminate boarding and disembarking challenges. The Steeg solution uses tanks that are filled or drained using an integrated pump.

This is a modular tank system suitable for all docks and piers. The modules are connected so that buoyancy, volume, length, and time are calculated and respond to the height of the dock. In principle, Steeg is a water elevator.

  • Installed Where You Usually Dock

Steeg is mounted on an existing dock or pier facility. The construction moves up and down in a shaft, and a sensor-controlled pump system ensures the platform always remains level with the dock—regardless of high or low tide. The pump system and tanks are equipped with heating cables for year-round use, and the platform features integrated lighting.
